I Can’t Believe This Is Happening

From #votingrights and disenfranchisement to #civilrights, #Coronavirus, the broken justice system, and #healthcare. The past 4 years have been overwhelming to say the least.The one thing that would improve all of those issues is having leaders in office that care about their constituents.

"I Can't Believe This Is Happening" is my current collaborative #artwork. This artwork is about now; the America we are living in and the America we want to be. It's one part art protest, one part voting manual, one part art show. Voting is more important now than it has ever been.

That isn’t politics that is logistics. This means voting isn’t a choice, it is essential.

So a coalition of #art friends and I from around the country got together to #speaktruthtopower forming the art crew The Aesop Project . The goal is to encourage all of us to #vote be engaged civically.

The first part in a video diptych, "I Can't Believe This Is Happening", premiered in Jacksonville, Florida as a POPUP Art Protest on the border of the Riverside + Brooklyn neighborhoods. Meeting the people where they are. Part two, "Actual Facts Are Necessary" will premier before Election Day 2020.
